About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Recruit, train, and mentor mobile service technicians
  • Conduct field audits, safety inspections, and performance reviews
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and FleetPride safety protocols
  • Oversee mobile service scheduling, dispatching, and workflow management
  • Direct daily field activities and ensure timely, high-quality customer-site repairs
  • Optimize technician dispatch to improve response times, downtime, and productivity
  • Coordinate communication among branch operations, technicians, and customers
  • Provide customer communication, technical guidance, and repair updates
  • Build long-term customer relationships and identify preventive maintenance opportunities
  • Manage customer and vendor portals for contract and national account compliance
  • Manage department P&L, labor, inventory, and costs
  • Review and approve work orders, invoices, and timecards
  • Report utilization, efficiency, and revenue-growth metrics
  • Partner with regional and branch leadership on operational and financial goals
  • Oversee maintenance, inspections, repairs, stocking, and readiness of mobile service trucks
  • Support growth, efficiency, customer experience, technician development, and certification initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Computer literate and proficient with inventory catalogs and various Microsoft and Google Docs software and programs
  • Experience in Learning Management System administration and reporting, preferred
  • Valid drivers’ license with a good driving record
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
  • Proven track record in Mobile Service operations and customer service
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Ability to manage a P&L
  • Ability to calculate productivity
  • Must be able to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and on-call responsibilities
  • Ability to work in inside/outside conditions with varied temperature changes, vibration, dust, and vehicle noise
