About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the Financial Infrastructure roadmap end to end, including sizing, sequencing, delivery, launch and iteration
  • Measure and improve payment health, including success rate, processing speed, failure recovery and reconciliation
  • Evaluate and manage infrastructure partners with the Product Partnerships team
  • Manage dependencies with banks, networks and processors and escalate risks early with options
  • Partner with Engineering on APIs, data models, ledger interactions, controls and observability
  • Make trade-off decisions across customer experience, speed, reliability, risk, compliance, operational complexity and commercial impact
  • Coordinate across card, payments and banking products
  • Learn finance leaders’ payroll funding, tax remittance and multi-currency treasury workflows and work with Design to build accounts, treasury and FX into them
  • Work with Risk, Compliance, Operations, Finance and GTM from the start
  • Keep leadership and partner teams informed across multiple projects
  • Use AI tools for discovery, analysis, documentation and decision-making
  • Report to the GM, Banking and work across three engineering squads with a designer, eight engineers and a product operations specialist

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years in product management
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining financial services infrastructure at a startup or scale-up
  • Direct ownership of financial ledgering, money movement or payments products
  • Experience leading a major infrastructure change while keeping customers and compliance whole
  • Strong project management across external partners with their own timelines
  • Clear, proactive written communication
  • Comfort with APIs, data models, ledgers and observability
  • Practical examples of using AI in product work
  • Canadian or US payments experience, including EFT/ACH, Interac e-Transfer, bill payments and wires (nice to have)
  • Experience working directly with sponsor banks, payment processors and payment networks (nice to have)
  • Experience building business banking, treasury management, accounts payable or accounts receivable products (nice to have)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Must currently reside in Canada
