About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary subject matter expert for FloQast’s SAP integration strategy across SAP S/4HANA Public/Private Cloud and legacy ECC environments
Explain close-process and accounting value to controllers and IT leaders
Advise on FloQast’s integration ecosystem, including APIs, custom APIs, SAP connectors, SFTP, and SAML
Join late-stage sales opportunities to demonstrate integration requirements and financial workflow enhancements
Strategize with Sales to secure technical buy-in from prospects
Collaborate with Product and Engineering on integration developments
Design and validate workflows using direct APIs, on-premise connectors, and public API endpoints
Consult on month-end close optimization, SAP job orchestration, and T-code execution
Map financial processes to SAP data structures, including trial balances, GL transactions, subledgers, and custom Z-tables
Maintain technical and integration guides for third-party systems
Answer Sales questions about integrations for customer use cases
Deliver integrations and FloQast test environments for proof-of-concept projects
Write regular expressions to parse file names and content for ERP, SAP, subledger, and bank data processing
Perform other duties supporting the Solutions Consulting department, company, and clients

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 5 years of experience in Corporate Accounting, Financial Systems, Technical IT Consulting, Solutions Engineering, or a related pre-sales role focused on SAP integrations and financial workflows
Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, corporate accounting workflows, month-end close challenges, and financial reporting needs
Comfortable working in a high-velocity sales environment
Strong verbal and written skills for live meetings, Zoom, and email
Ability to explain complex SAP integration and IT concepts in business-friendly terms to accounting, finance, and technical executive audiences
Self-starter with initiative and follow-through
Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond to changing demands
Ability to travel up to 25%
Deep understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Integration Suite entitlements, and SAP Public versus Private Cloud deployment models
Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP S/4HANA or ECC, including configuration, integration, or migration of ERP modules
Experience with cloud storage systems and team-based administration
Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions and team-based administration
Experience navigating SAP data dictionaries and standard SAP table structures, such as ACDOCA
Experience implementing or supporting SAP API integrations, including OData/RESTful APIs, and secure file exchange via SFTP
Degree in IT, Business Systems, Accounting Information Systems, or a related field is nice to have
Familiarity with regex, JSON, Python, or SQL is nice to have
Experience publishing or updating technical documentation is nice to have
Experience using AI tools, particularly Claude, is nice to have
Experience with FloQast or similar financial close management software is nice to have
