About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to maximize revenue within the assigned territory
- Prospect, cold call, and schedule sales visits
- Build and maintain relationships with Foodservice Operators and Distribution customers
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and acquire new customers
- Demonstrate Flowers Bakeries AFH products and present their features, benefits, and applications
- Negotiate customer terms and pricing agreements
- Record sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline development using CRM and TPM software
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments
- Provide insights and recommendations to management
- Provide exceptional customer service, address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and product development teams
- Maintain product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry knowledge through training and self-directed learning
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of sales experience with a proven track record in a similar role, preferably in foodservice
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required (65–75% of the week)
- Experience negotiating customer terms and pricing agreements
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- Equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills may supplement minimum job requirements
