About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Repair and install equipment at customers’ locations
Oversee start-up and assess start-up performance
Conduct maintenance and monitor product performance
Maintain and operate a company tool truck for customer support and onsite repairs
Make direct, in-person service calls in response to customer requests
Assess mechanical problems and take prompt corrective action
Work alongside customer personnel and lead work crews as required
Oversee the full repair cycle: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly
Install mechanical seals and change seal faces, gaskets, and O-rings
Travel globally for extended periods as needed
Train customers on operating and maintaining Flowserve products
Collaborate with repair centers, customer service, and sales engineering
Maintain accurate and timely records, including daily reports, quoted and performed jobs, and time and materials charged
Communicate Flowserve’s ethics, safety, and quality values

Requirements

What you’ll need

Skilled in the repair of Flowserve’s large, high-end, single-stage and multi-stage pumps
Skilled in laser alignment, rigging, and pump seals
Experience removing and installing pump bases, including epoxy grout and pressure grout
Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics
Must be able to travel 70% of the time with frequent overnight stays
Physical activity required, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, ascending/descending ladders and staircases, and climbing and reaching in, under, and around large equipment, often outside year-round
Five or more years of experience in mechanical field service, specifically repairing pumps
Must have an active clean driver’s license with a good driving record to pass a DOT physical and drive company tool trucks
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Capable in Outlook, Word, and Excel
