About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform General Ledger accounting activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
- Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal controls
- Support SOX compliance and internal/external audits
- Identify accounting issues and drive process improvements
- Collaborate with site controllers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and maintain accounting documentation and SOPs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial analysis
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS is an advantage
- Professional accounting certification is a plus
- Fluent English and Hungarian, both written and spoken
