About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, develop, and manage a geographically dispersed team focused on maximizing system reliability and availability
  • Co-develop and execute operational processes and documentation
  • Support new project deployments and provide comprehensive post-COD support
  • Identify and resolve issues; manage project reporting, system testing, compliance, and analytics
  • Oversee the regional cost center, drive financial performance, mitigate risks, and enable sustainable growth
  • Drive O&M service business performance across safety, finance, and full maintenance scope
  • Own customer service relationships through clear communication and contract knowledge and execution
  • Own and develop the regional safety culture under Fluence’s safety management system
  • Ensure contracts align with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies
  • Oversee service contracts from initiation through renewal or termination
  • Track vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs; conduct service quality reviews and audits
  • Develop regional income statement performance and budgets with the Global Services Lead
  • Drive proactive and reactive maintenance execution across managed energy projects
  • Develop an effective Services team and manage third-party service vendors
  • Identify product and service performance issues, develop resolution plans, execute resolutions, and follow up
  • Support, lead, and facilitate root cause analysis and management of change activities
  • Facilitate site support and manage global services OEM suppliers
  • Develop and deploy asset management strategies for customer assets
  • Lead Battery Energy Storage Array O&M training for new owners and third-party service providers
  • Foster development and provide onboarding for direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree required, with strong preference for a technical degree (BSEE, BSME, BSCE, Chemistry, Physics, Math)
  • 10 years of related experience in electric utility or independent power producer experience within generation, operations, or technical teams
  • Experience leading and improving safety efforts in an operational setting
  • Experience with income statement responsibility, including budget development
  • Proven track record of technical problem solving using a structured approach and complex analytics
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic conditions and stay focused and execute on goals
  • SAP or equivalent financial reporting platform experience required
  • Successful track record of business process management including project reporting/management, work execution, procure to pay, change management, workforce development, and planning
  • Experience negotiating and managing contracts with third-party service providers
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to interface with multiple levels of customer organization
  • Deep planning, organizing, and coordination experience among multiple stakeholders
  • Project management, meeting leadership, and facilitation experience
  • Excellent MS Office, SCADA, and MODBUS experience
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
