About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications
  • Monitor progress against the master schedule and resolve schedule, cost, and execution risks
  • Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, logistics, construction, and commissioning
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams
  • Track project performance and prepare status updates
  • Maintain visibility of key deliverables and action items
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, manage escalations, and support issue and claims resolution
  • Ensure project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements are maintained
  • Travel approximately 15% or as required for project site visits, client meetings, and team meetings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS/BA degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience managing large-scale industrial, power, energy, renewable energy, or BESS projects
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Experience managing projects with contract values of approximately $100M+
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated success in client-facing project leadership roles
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a matrixed and global organization
  • Experience and knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) preferred
  • EPC project experience preferred
  • Power Plant and/or Substation project experience preferred
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong ability to manage complex schedules, resources, budgets, and project deliverables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, clients, contractors, and project teams
  • Ability to identify project challenges, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions
  • Familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and project controls processes
  • Experience using Primavera P6 scheduling software highly desirable
  • Strong customer-facing presence and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Ability to build trust and maintain effective client relationships
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout employment, without employer sponsorship
