About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Write, debug and profile embedded Rust firmware for microcontrollers using no_std, embedded-hal, and an async or RTOS-style framework such as Embassy or RTIC
  • Implement and integrate device drivers and communication layers over SPI, I²C, UART, USB, CAN or Ethernet
  • Contribute to bootloader and firmware-update strategies, including memory layout, image validation and safe rollback
  • Build data logging and data transport paths from devices to hosts, including on-device storage and streaming interfaces
  • Develop Rust software for embedded Linux targets, including userspace services, kernel interfaces such as sysfs, GPIO, IIO and V4L2, and cross-compilation for a custom Linux distribution
  • Build and test embedded software in Rust across bare-metal microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems
  • Write code for real devices, bring it up on target hardware and debug it with appropriate tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Embedded Systems or a related field — either in progress or recently completed
  • Rust experience outside of a graded assignment, such as a side project or contribution
  • Genuine interest in low-level software and willingness to read datasheets and find answers independently
  • Enough C or C++ to read a vendor SDK
  • Good level of English
  • French or any additional language is an asset
