About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide day-to-day oversight and guidance to Flight Support Specialists
- Plan and coordinate downline trips outside the 24-hour operational window
- Identify and resolve potential operational issues before the dispatch window
- Verify scheduled aircraft and flight crew availability
- Perform Flight Dispatcher duties during high-demand periods, staffing shortages, or other operational requirements
- Coordinate among Sales, Dispatch, Flight Crews, Maintenance, and other departments
- Complete and verify TSA passenger checks and security requirements
- Review and reconcile flight logs
- Review NOTAMs, TFRs, PPRs, airport slots, and other operational restrictions
- Notify FBOs, ground handlers, and service providers of scheduled arrivals and departures
- Coordinate early- and late-operation requirements
- Use ForeFlight and other trip-planning resources to evaluate aircraft range, fuel, and reserve requirements
- Ensure customs, immigration, agriculture, international handling, and foreign government requirements are satisfied
- Coordinate advanced handling requirements for future international trips
- Monitor weather, air traffic control conditions, airport status, and other operational disruptions
- Maintain working knowledge of the flyExclusive Operations Manual and applicable regulations
- Conduct maintenance reviews for upcoming flights and coordinate with Maintenance Planning
- Maintain accurate operational information in the Dispatch pass-down communication channel
- Promote operational awareness, accountability, and effective communication within the Dispatch Department
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in aviation or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate or Pilot Certificate required
- At least 60 days of experience as a flyExclusive Licensed Flight Dispatcher or flyExclusive Dispatcher is highly preferred
- Knowledge of business jet performance and operational capabilities
- Strong prioritization and coordination skills in a fast-paced environment
- Creative and effective problem-solving abilities
- Ability to develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with internal and external customers
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States without sponsorship
- Candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to employment
- Subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with FAA guidelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Proficiency with ForeFlight and other approved trip-planning and operational support tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulations, international aviation regulations, Company Operations Specifications, and applicable company policies and procedures
- Ability and willingness to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other non-standard schedules
- Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move items weighing up to 30 pounds
