About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead market development and account strategy for Irish Higher Education
- Prioritise institutions with the greatest potential within the territory plan
- Lead market engagement, discovery, opportunity shaping and technical scoping
- Progress opportunities day to day and involve the UK commercial lead for pricing, commercial terms and negotiations
- Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline with accurate forecasts and disciplined Salesforce hygiene using MEDDPICC or equivalent
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, Registry, International Admissions, Student Services and procurement
- Develop value propositions and executive business cases focused on payer adoption, reconciliation, cash flow and student experience
- Partner with Client Success to grow adoption and retention and represent the Irish customer internally
- Lead engagement with the Education Procurement Service and build relationships for future EPS frameworks and tenders
- Apply knowledge of Irish public procurement, eTenders and institutional framework agreements in compliance with Irish and EU rules
- Contribute market knowledge and client insight to tender, RFP and framework responses prepared and submitted by the UK team
- Shape deal strategy using client and market insight while working within Flywire’s approval framework and approval matrix
Requirements
What you’ll need- Direct experience, knowledge or exposure to the Education Procurement Service (EPS), including its frameworks and tender processes
- Typically 8 or more years of enterprise sales, account management or business development experience
- Substantial experience selling into Irish Higher Education
- Established credibility with senior decision makers across Irish universities, technological universities and colleges
- Record of originating and winning complex net new enterprise opportunities, with clear examples of quota attainment and deal size
- Record of selling enterprise software or payments solutions into complex institutions, with examples of large, multi-year deals
- Experience navigating Irish public procurement, including eTenders and formal institutional tender processes
- Ability to sell payments and technology propositions to commercial and technical audiences
- Familiarity with Tribal SITS, Ellucian Banner, Oracle or Unit4
- Exceptional executive communication and relationship-building skills
- Right to work in Ireland, eligibility for employment authorisation, or willingness to travel within Ireland as business needs require
