About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide support across Community Impact programs, events, communications and operations.
  • Cover programmatic and geographic needs across FNBO's footprint.
  • Establish chamber of commerce tiering structures, negotiate with chambers and partners, and maximize partnership assets.
  • Engage employees in nonprofit gatherings and community engagements.
  • Represent the bank at nonprofit meetings and community partner interactions; ensure follow-up and relationship continuity.
  • Advise City Ambassadors and business partners on community program needs.
  • Maintain Community Impact SharePoint, intranet and internal communications content.
  • Research local trends, emerging needs and community conversations to inform team decisions.
  • Serve as an educated backup across key Community Impact functions.
  • Develop expertise in Impact Investing and CDC operations, including portfolio processes, decision-making, board governance and management.
  • Support financial analysis, budget tracking, reporting and partner communications.
  • Gather and compile philanthropy requests and assist with review-process communications.
  • Make philanthropic recommendations and support Impact Grant review, tracking and awards.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and materials for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Maintain records, tracking tools and documentation.
  • Plan and execute smaller-scale Community Impact events and programs.
  • Coordinate community event logistics, communications, materials, volunteer recruitment and day-of execution.
  • Support larger enterprise Community Impact campaigns and events.
  • Build relationships with nonprofit and community partners.
  • Track event participation, outcomes and feedback for reporting and improvement.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree required in communications, nonprofit management, public administration, marketing or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in event coordination, program support, community relations, nonprofit work or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and support cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written communication skills with experience developing content for internal platforms, events or community programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint; experience with project management or tracking tools a plus.
  • Genuine interest in community impact, corporate philanthropy and volunteerism.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Corporate Social Responsibility, community development or nonprofit operations preferred.
  • Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
