About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, manage and grow the assigned team of technology resources supporting Data Governance, Data Management and AI practices and processes.
  • Enable the Archer AI Governance Module and integrate use case intake, scoring and model details.
  • Chair the Generative AI Steering Group and facilitate intake processes, risk assessments, and approval decisions for enterprise AI use cases.
  • Establish a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, innovation, personal growth, and a fail-fast, learn-fast culture.
  • Work with AI development teams on standards for observability and evaluations of AI capabilities.
  • Drive execution of Customer Data strategy, including data quality, completeness, targets, progress visibility, and business engagement.
  • Drive ongoing maturity in cataloging and tagging FNBO data assets.
  • Develop AI and Data Literacy campaigns and practices to measure maturity and progress.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk Management, Information Security, second-line risk functions, internal audit, and banking regulators.
  • Serve as liaison to Compliance, Risk Management, and Information Security on AI governance matters.
  • Translate technical capabilities into risk implications and ensure governance controls address identified risks.
  • Partner with risk functions to prepare for regulatory examinations, providing documentation and practice details.
  • Continuously improve governance frameworks through industry working groups, regulatory forums, and peer institutions.
  • Conduct regular reviews with strategic bank vendors to understand AI roadmaps and ensure solution transparency.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technology leadership with a preferred experience with data and AI and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience working in regulated environments and proven results
  • Experience in Data Management or Data Governance roles
  • Highly structured and results oriented
  • Success in managing and developing high-performing technology teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others
  • Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting practices
  • Unrestricted work authorization
  • Must not require future sponsorship
  • Desired: Experience in Financial Services or another highly regulated field
  • Desired: Certification in Change Management (Prosci, ADKAR) or Project Management (PMP, Agile)
  • Desired: Experience working with Data in different capacities
