About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with the Delivery team to ensure developed solutions deliver value and improve software quality
- Partner with Developers and Testers to define tasks and provide final estimates for User Stories
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including progressive elaboration, refinement, estimation sessions, and daily standups
- Develop, modify, test, implement, deploy, administer, troubleshoot, and support mainframe applications
- Provide ongoing support to internal business units using the applications
- Provide application functional knowledge, support documentation, system monitoring, and production support
- Participate in off-hours and weekend on-call support as necessary
- Ensure applications remain current, stable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards
- Upgrade or enhance existing applications
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years COBOL, z/OS, JCL, TSO, CICS experience
- Experience in Hogan mainframe banking system development
- Experience with Sort Utility software (i.e. DFSORT, SYNCSORT)
- Experience with Scheduling, File Manager, File Transfer and Debug software
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Keen attention to detail with focus on quality
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly and positively
- Prior experience working with or supporting distributed software applications (desired)
- Experience working in an Agile environment (desired)
- Experience in banking/financial services industry (desired)
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship
