About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and software solutions using SQL, Python, and AWS services
Write and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, reporting, and performance tuning
Develop and deploy serverless functions and event-driven workflows using AWS Lambda and EventBridge
Build and maintain scalable data solutions with AWS S3, RDS, and Glue
Create Python scripts and applications for automation, data processing, and business logic
Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to implement technical requirements
Manage source code with GitLab and CI/CD workflows
Participate in code reviews
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues
Write and execute test plans
Participate in Agile ceremonies
Document technical specifications, designs, and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, query optimization, and relational database data modeling
Working knowledge of AWS Lambda, EventBridge, S3, RDS, and Glue
Hands-on Python experience for data processing, automation, or backend services
Experience using GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
3–5 years of professional software development experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Unrestricted work authorization and no requirement for future sponsorship
Desired: React, Java and Spring Boot, financial services experience, additional AWS services, Docker or Kubernetes, application security and OWASP standards
