About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contact current and prospective school districts and sites to support selling Follett's full portfolio
  • Sell content library and classroom books, early childhood materials, digital content, technology platforms, eFairs, and value-added services and products
  • Promote, demonstrate, and sell assigned product lines and services using a shared Outside/Inside sales model
  • Focus selling efforts on district-level contacts and partner with the inside sales team on site-based selling
  • Meet established requirements for sales dollars, sales development, increases, and other relevant objectives
  • Monitor voicemail and email daily and respond appropriately
  • Attend and participate in local, regional, and national exhibits, webinars, trade shows, and sales meetings
  • Liaise with sales support groups, library service consultants, technical support, curriculum alignment, sales management, and other internal departments
  • Manage the assigned territory using the CRM tool, call plans, itineraries, and company databases
  • Review promotional materials, catalogs, and customer-facing marketing collateral for sales calls
  • Research school districts, public libraries, grants, programs, and initiatives to maximize opportunity advancement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or 5 years of Outside Sales Experience
  • Must reside within the territory (Arkansas, Mississippi or Tennessee)
  • 60-75% travel within the territory, onsite at schools/libraries
  • 3-5 years of related sales experience
  • Solid presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with complex sales situations and operating within a district sales model
