  • Collaborate with managers and franchisees to develop and facilitate the capabilities required to achieve results in assigned restaurants.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with brand standards.
  • Develop action plans with managers and franchisees to improve operational performance.
  • Oversee sales, performance, customer experience scores, food safety, and associate engagement across the region.
  • Build trusted relationships with managers and franchisees through targeted restaurant visits.
  • Conduct restaurant operations and evaluations according to the frequency defined in the brand’s annual plans.
  • Assess brand standards, front-of-house service, back-of-house operations, health and safety, employee relations, and food sanitation.
  • Observe, evaluate, and rate restaurants according to established audits.
  • Coach, educate, and motivate employees, managers, and franchisees to change their behaviors.
  • Identify gaps, opportunities, and root causes related to operating standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Teach managers and franchisees solutions to address identified gaps.
  • Report and resolve key issues raised during audits, and report trends at team meetings and one-on-one discussions.
  • Act as a liaison between managers, franchisees, and the brand leadership team to resolve issues affecting the customer experience.
  • Prepare for audits by analyzing financial performance, previous audit results, and ongoing action plans.
  • Lead all aspects of new restaurant openings and ensure they achieve their business objectives.
  • Visit restaurants according to the frequency required by the segmentation model.
  • Coach and develop employees, track their individual development plans, and strengthen their leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with the selection process, develop and retain associates, and maintain a candidate pipeline.
  • Establish business and financial objectives with managers and franchisees.
  • Recommend operational improvements to increase comparable-restaurant sales or reduce costs.
  • Identify opportunities and best practices to improve restaurant profitability.
  • Complete a quarterly business update for the region.
  • Ensure compliance with employment standards, human rights, health, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure the implementation of and compliance with food safety programs.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Regional Operations Manager (ROM) is required; multi-unit experience is preferred.
  • Postsecondary education.
  • Bilingual in spoken and written French and English.
  • Experience in restaurant operations is preferred.
