About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Edit performance-oriented short-form creative for Meta, TikTok, and other paid social channels
  • Turn scripts, footage, UGC, AI-generated assets, and other source material into compelling, platform-native ads
  • Apply creative judgment focused on hooks, pacing, retention, storytelling, sound, and direct-response creative principles
  • Partner with Creative Directors, Strategists, copywriters, and the creative team to develop concepts and solve creative problems
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback and performance learnings
  • Use AI to generate or modify footage, B-roll, images, and other assets when it improves speed, quality, or creative possibilities
  • Partner with the AI Creative Lead on advanced workflows
  • Create and iterate multiple variations of concepts, hooks, messaging, and visual approaches for high-volume creative testing
  • Maintain a high craft bar across picture, sound, graphics, captions, and overall execution
  • Work quickly within brand, platform, and compliance requirements
  • Support the Forbes Advisor Home vertical

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3–5 years of professional video editing experience, ideally in social, performance marketing, advertising, content, or a similarly high-output environment
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating short-form social and performance-oriented creative
  • Deep experience editing for Meta, Instagram, TikTok, and other short-form platforms
  • Strong understanding of hooks and retention
  • Strong understanding of platform-native pacing
  • Strong understanding of social-first storytelling
  • Strong understanding of UGC-style editing
  • Strong understanding of captions and subtitles
  • Strong understanding of sound design
  • Strong understanding of creative testing and iteration
  • Comfortable working in a high-output environment where creative is continuously tested, iterated, and informed by performance data
  • Required: Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Portfolio or reel showcasing relevant short-form work
  • Examples of Meta/TikTok paid social creative edited by the candidate
  • Brief summary of experience with social-first and direct-response editing
