About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the event portfolio and annual event budget
  • Determine which conferences and association meetings to attend and investment levels
  • Run conferences end to end, including booths, collateral, speaking and panel submissions, pre-booked meetings, and on-site execution
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage booth, swag, print, shipping, and event-services vendors
  • Manage event inventory, quality, and timelines
  • Build lunch and learns, association sessions, themed dinners, and regional gatherings
  • Create event playbooks, pre-event briefs, meeting targets, and follow-up expectations with demand generation
  • Build association partnerships through sponsorship negotiations, speaking slots, co-hosted webinars and training, and member communications
  • Set targets for meetings booked and pipeline generated per event
  • Report event performance and use results to shape future plans
  • Establish an evidence-based event portfolio and credible event presence
  • Ensure sales teams have meetings booked and pipeline follow-up after conferences
  • Travel 30–40% of the time
  • Help define how Forerunner, which builds intelligent software for government and regulated industries, shows up in person

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of marketing, B2B events, field marketing, or partnerships experience
  • Record of hitting accountable goals
  • Experience running events or partner programs focused on pipeline rather than attendance
  • Experience working with associations or channel partners
  • Experience negotiating sponsorship or partnership agreements
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Willingness to travel 30–40% of the time
  • Genuine interest in selling to government or existing public sector experience
  • Fluency with AI tools in day-to-day work
  • Comfort with ambiguity and working in a small, fast-moving team
  • Must be able and willing to regularly work in a hybrid model from a Talent Hub office
  • Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions
  • Must not require employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
