About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build Foresight's in-house finance function from the ground up
Own budgeting and forecasting, including annual and quarterly planning
Own ARR, net revenue retention, CAC, burn, and runway metrics and drive decisions from trend analysis
Partner with Sales, Delivery, and Product to evaluate unit economics and major-spend ROI
Own monthly close, cash management, and runway tracking
Manage vendor relationships and bring finance work in-house over time
Establish and enhance financial controls and policies
Select and implement the finance stack, including ERP/accounting, billing, FP&A, expense, and revenue recognition tools
Define the finance operating rhythm
Hire and mentor a small team as the business scales
Provide executive leadership and the board with financial tracking and visibility into runway and unit economics
Establish budgeting and planning processes, financial tracking, monthly close, and finance technology adoption

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years in finance with depth in FP&A and enterprise SaaS business models
Experience as the senior finance hire at an early- or growth-stage company, having built the function before
Experience with international businesses and cross-border transactions
Comfort operating across globally distributed, cross-cultural teams
Strong command of SaaS metrics and unit economics
Ability to translate financial concepts for non-finance leaders
Builder's mindset with experience creating processes, models, and systems from scratch
Direct experience selecting and implementing finance systems, including accounting/ERP, billing, and FP&A tooling
Comfortable driving discovery with senior stakeholders without a clear brief
High-energy leadership and high ownership
Direct and transparent communication
Entrepreneurial, autonomous, adaptable, fact-based decision-making
Intellectual agility and willingness to challenge assumptions
