About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the SVP, People
- Build and run Employee Relations as a new function at Form Energy
- Define ER strategy, frameworks, infrastructure, intake processes, investigation methodology, case management tooling, escalation pathways, and documentation standards
- Own and manage a complex, high-volume caseload involving harassment, discrimination, misconduct, performance-related disputes, and interpersonal conflict
- Conduct thorough, timely, and legally sound investigations and drive cases to fair, well-documented resolution
- Advise and coach senior leaders and People Partners on ER strategy, risk, and precedent
- Translate case patterns and trends into proactive recommendations
- Train and coach managers on identifying, addressing, and escalating ER issues
- Develop and improve HR policies and practices for consistent application and compliance with employment laws
- Partner with Legal on complex or high-risk matters
- Build reporting infrastructure to track case trends, cycle times, and outcomes
- Use ER data and analytics to identify systemic risks and inform policy decisions
- Partner with People Partners, Legal, EHS, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards across the employee lifecycle
- Travel to all locations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of progressive Employee Relations experience, including direct ownership of complex investigations and casework
- Proven experience building or significantly scaling an Employee Relations function, program, or infrastructure from an early stage
- Deep knowledge of federal and state employment law, investigation methodology, and documentation standards
- Strong judgment and discretion in sensitive, high-stakes situations
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
- Ability to balance strategic program-building with a high-volume, hands-on caseload
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Legal, People Partners, and business leaders
- Ability to work onsite from the listed work location in a hybrid or fully onsite function
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
