About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Senior Manager of People Partnership
- Serve as a strategic HR partner and coach to senior leadership, including Engineering and California site leaders
- Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives
- Drive talent strategies and programs including performance management, career pathing, and succession planning
- Identify new talent program needs with HR leadership
- Act as a visible and trusted site HR presence for the California workforce
- Drive alignment among teams and support employee engagement efforts in the California office
- Provide guidance on complex employee relations issues and ensure legal compliance
- Conduct and close investigations and employee relations concerns
- Use People data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and identify organizational trends
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Benefits & Support, and other People Team Centers of Excellence
- Identify issues, challenge assumptions, and proactively solve problems
- Operate autonomously with accountability for execution
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of progressive HR experience
- At least 3 years supporting a product or engineering organization in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of change management
- Business acumen and ability to connect People strategy to business outcomes
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to build trust and credibility with senior leaders
- Resilience and adaptability in a dynamic environment
- Solid knowledge of California and federal labor laws
- Ability to create new programs and processes from scratch and identify process improvements
- Ability to work onsite from Berkeley, CA at least 4 days per week
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
