About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop tools and SDKs for confidential computing platforms
- Support Fortanix teams in using internally developed confidential computing tools
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality software meeting security and performance standards
- Investigate and resolve complex issues across application, runtime, kernel, and platform layers
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in security and confidential computing
- Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality
- Drive adoption of new tools, methodologies, and processes to improve development efficiency and product quality
- Collaborate with engineers across the software stack to advance confidential computing and data protection capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Passion for systems programming and low-level software development, particularly in x86-based environments
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and appreciation for modern programming languages and abstractions, particularly Rust
- Solid understanding of Linux kernel and operating system fundamentals
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with C/C++ or Rust
- Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Information Security or related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creatively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to articulate complex technical concepts
- Experience with trusted execution environments or confidential computing technologies
- Knowledge of Rust compiler, virtualization, or cloud infrastructure
- Familiarity with low-level security concepts, attack mitigations, and secure systems design
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies, including CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps
- Contributions to open-source projects
