About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently plan and deliver end-to-end ERP projects for new and existing customers
  • Lead complex ERP projects, including the professional management of internal teams, and serve as the primary point of contact for customer-side decision-makers
  • Plan projects and define project scope in close collaboration with customers and Sales
  • Support Sales by analyzing customer requirements and developing tailored solution concepts for proposals
  • Negotiate project deliverables and conditions, particularly scope, timelines, and effort
  • Manage project teams in Germany as well as at nearshore and offshore locations
  • Coordinate external partners and service providers
  • Build and maintain trusted customer relationships
  • Prepare detailed project plans, including effort, timeline, functionality, and budget planning
  • Coordinate the implementation of complex project plans and ensure agreed project objectives are achieved
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from both a commercial and functional perspective
  • Independently manage change requests and additional requirements
  • Ensure quality and project success through continuous progress monitoring, risk analysis, comprehensive documentation, and ongoing optimization of project planning
  • Actively share knowledge within the ABAS PM Community

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree or vocational training in business administration, business, or information technology, combined with solid knowledge and several years of experience managing IT projects, ideally ERP projects
  • Strong communication and consulting skills, with the ability to provide focused guidance to project stakeholders in complex project environments
  • Experience in change management; relevant training, continuing education, and/or professional experience is an advantage
  • Knowledge of production and manufacturing would be ideal
  • Methodical, solution-oriented, and self-directed approach to work
  • Strong ability to work with abstractions, along with excellent reasoning and persuasive skills, particularly in complex contexts
  • Fluent to native-level German and good English skills for internal company communication
  • Willingness to pursue personal and professional development and engage in proactive learning
  • Flexibility regarding working hours and enthusiasm for collaborating in interdisciplinary teams
