About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement customer projects and test Fortinet products deployed in production environments according to CRT processes
- Understand testing requirements and customer information in project proposals
- Write project documents, including topologies, test plans, methods of procedure, and technical architecture diagrams
- Provision systems under test to reproduce customer environments on CRT Data Center equipment
- Configure FortiTester, Spirent, and Ixia traffic generators to simulate customer production traffic
- Define and execute test cases based on testable requirements
- Investigate technical problems involving Fortinet products
- Follow up with R&D departments to resolve product issues
- Document test results in reports and deliver or present them to customers
- Administer traffic generators and maintain the CRT application flows catalog
- Provide post-mortem traffic-generator usage feedback and update the traffic-generator database
- Manage vendor relationships, feature requests, and product enhancements
- Follow emerging application-simulation solutions and propose new approaches
- Handle JIRA traffic-generator incidents and issues through resolution
- Interface with vendor support and manage external tickets and escalations
- Participate in SDN development
- Create technical documentation and bulletins for Fortinet CSS and CRT knowledge bases
- Develop expertise in Fortinet products and technologies
- Work closely with Support organizations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong understanding of data networking protocols, specifically TCP/IP, routing and switching
- Very good presentation and technical documentation skills
- Good troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to problem solving
- Strong knowledge of application and security testing tools for physical network infrastructure, including Spirent and/or Ixia network and security traffic generators
- Experience with security products: firewalls, IPsec, IDS/IPS, Anti-Spam, AV
- Good understanding of Web application concepts, security and vulnerabilities
- Work experience with Fortinet products an advantage
- Positive, communicative and customer-oriented attitude
- Ability to work in a multicultural team environment
- General knowledge of software testing an advantage
- Scripting knowledge an advantage
- Five years or more experience in network security, technical support or QA
- Graduate of network and security engineering school
- Advanced knowledge of English, written and spoken; other languages are an advantage
