About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist client staff with day-to-day Fortinet product operation and support
Develop methods of procedure (MOPs) for migrations, upgrades, and updates
Develop test plans and test new features and/or releases
Verify configurations and implement best practices
Perform interoperability evaluations of devices interacting with Fortinet products
Provide training and knowledge transfer to client staff
Develop and maintain core competency on Fortinet's product line and technologies
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet consulting, support and/or administration
5+ years of experience with network security products
2+ years of experience with Fortinet products
Experience working as a Professional Services Consultant/Engineer is a plus
Solid understanding of security and networking principles and technologies
Knowledge of network security infrastructure, including switching, routing, load balancing, and WiFi
Knowledge of security systems, including firewall, IPS, VPN, antivirus, antispam, web filtering, and application control
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Outstanding oral communication and presentation skills
Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to react promptly and efficiently to project adjustments and alterations
Flexibility during times of change
Ability to elicit cooperation from upper management, clients, and other departments
Ability to bring projects to successful completion through political sensitivity
Strong commitment and self-driven approach
Ability to travel as needed
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related work experience
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
