Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and maintain clean, highly scalable, and cost-efficient backend code
Evaluate and introduce cutting-edge technologies into the technology stack
Integrate AI-driven tools into daily development workflows to accelerate coding, automate testing, and streamline code reviews
Analyze system data and performance metrics to improve efficiency and eliminate bottlenecks
Lead technical projects, mentor peers, and drive architectural decisions
Collaborate with global research teams to define features based on research results
Advise on innovative technical solutions and support integration with other teams

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience as a Backend and Data Engineer in a production environment
Python experience is an advantage
Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, mentor peers, and drive architectural decisions in an Agile environment
Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
Experience with Redis and Elasticsearch
Experience with production real-time and highly scalable systems
Experience developing backend services with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, Celery, or similar
Experience with cloud web services such as AWS or OCI is an advantage
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work in an Agile, dynamic environment with a “Can do” approach
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work closely with global research teams and other teams for feature definition, technical solutions, and integration
