About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepare and maintain schedules of detailed activities to accomplish client procurement objectives
  • Implement project procedures from project identification through scope development, proposal review, contract compliance, notice to proceed, and construction execution
  • Read and understand construction plans and specifications
  • Conduct comprehensive price proposal reviews and create and review detailed construction line-item proposals
  • Train contractors in Gordian software and client procedures
  • Assist clients with contract bidding
  • Communicate with clients and internal team members to complete projects on time and on budget
  • Manage multiple accounts and develop positive customer relationships
  • Drive client retention, renewals, upsells, and client satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Account Managers, Finance, Sales, Business Operations, and other cross-functional teams
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and provide software training to client and contractor staff
  • Identify root causes of customer success and failures and drive process enhancements
  • Provide input on new processes and workflows
  • Maintain superior customer service, operational excellence, and strategic insight
  • Collaborate with construction management firms to promote consistency and develop standards and procedures
  • Participate in budget development, budget management, and revenue forecasting
  • Develop annual program usage and benchmark reports with Sales and Business Operations
  • Monitor construction and project activities to ensure client needs are met and work remains within budget
  • Review contractor change requests and initiate job order supplementals when appropriate
  • Interact with owner representatives, contractors, and facility end-users to minimize project concerns
  • Review contractors’ daily inspection reports and summarize and report construction progress weekly to upper management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field, or comparable work experience
  • 5+ years of construction procurement, construction management, project management, or general contracting related experience in both facilities and road construction preferred
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in public construction operations, pricing and contracting, including scope development and estimating/price proposal development
  • High level analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously in development and in the field during construction
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills
  • Flexibility, strategic thinking, problem solving skills, goal driven, client obsessed, ability to deliver results
  • Meets client and corporate deadlines
  • Time management skills
  • Self-motivated; works well independently and in a group dynamic
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Power BI
  • Ability to develop and generate custom tracking documents and reports
  • Background in construction documentation and administration preferred, but not required
  • Job Order Contracting or IDIQ experience preferred, but not required
  • Comprehensive understanding of various public procurement and project delivery methods and requirements
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50–70% within assigned geographic area
