About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Represent clients in judicial proceedings involving Banking Law
- Draft answers, appeals, procedural submissions, legal opinions, and responses to legal inquiries
- Analyze procedural strategies and develop defense arguments
- Attend hearings and comply with procedural deadlines
- Prepare management reports and update case-tracking systems
- Conduct legal and case-law research to support the firm’s matters
- Communicate with clients and participate in meetings to align on strategies
- Liaise with local counsel, company representatives, and other support teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Proactive approach and ability to work as part of a team
- Experience in high-volume litigation practices
- Prior experience in civil litigation, preferably focused on Banking Law
- Experience drafting pleadings involving medium- and high-complexity matters
- Knowledge of consumer protection legislation applicable to financial institutions
- Experience with loan revision claims, damages actions, enforcement proceedings, judgment enforcement, and other matters related to the banking sector
- Familiarity with electronic court systems used by major courts
- Strong legal writing, organizational, and deadline-management skills
- Analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented profile
- Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Postgraduate degree in Banking Law, Civil Procedure, Consumer Law, or related fields
