About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report patient progress and collaborate with the evaluating therapist to implement the therapy plan of care
  • Perform comprehensive physical therapy treatment and related follow-up services, including discharge planning
  • Document and submit patient reports within the established timeframe
  • Collaborate with patients, healthcare personnel, and outside agencies to coordinate care
  • Exercise clinical judgment while following an occupational therapy plan of care
  • Train and educate patients, family members, and other support persons; document understanding of the treatment plan and goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program — Required
  • Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) state licensing board credential — Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association — Required
  • Driver's License — Required
  • Auto Insurance — Required
  • 1 year of Physical Therapist Assistant experience — Required
  • 1 year of Home Healthcare experience — Preferred
  • Travel required up to 75%
