About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide relief and relaxation to clients through therapeutic massage
  • Assess each client individually and develop an appropriate plan of action
  • Accurately document and maintain client records and department paperwork
  • Clean, organize, maintain, and disinfect the work area after treatment
  • Assess soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion
  • Communicate with patients about medical histories, problems, and pain, and answer questions and concerns
  • Perform therapeutic massage using a variety of modalities to treat medical conditions and injuries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • 1 year Massage Experience required
  • Massage Therapist (MSGTHER) — State Licensing Board
  • First Aid (AID) — American Heart Association
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) — American Heart Association
  • Massage Therapy License/Certification from recognized school (AMTA, OBTA, ABMP)
