About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Greet and direct patients, family members, and other visitors
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct callers to appropriate staff
  • Schedule appointments and enter data into the scheduling system
  • Register patients and enter or update demographic and insurance information in the EMR system
  • Communicate with clinical staff to maintain patient flow and update waiting patients
  • Collect patient payments and apply payments and adjustments to patient accounts
  • Balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers
  • Work in a busy cardiology practice within General Cardiology Services
  • Work Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Required High School Diploma/GED
  • Integrity, good attendance, and dependability
  • Empathetic communication, strong organizational skills, and adaptability
  • 1 year Primary Care/Office experience preferred
  • 1 year customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to provide exemplary customer service
  • Ability to answer incoming calls and respond to or direct inquiries
  • Ability to schedule appointments and accurately enter data into scheduling system
  • Ability to register patients and enter or update demographic and insurance information into EMR system
  • Ability to communicate with clinical staff to maintain patient flow
  • Ability to collect patient payments and apply payments and adjustments to patient accounts
  • Ability to balance daily encounter forms and cash drawers
