About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and develop analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power circuits used in Ivenix-designed products
  • Build and test prototypes to verify design function
  • Perform and document failure analysis of returned products
  • Investigate new technologies and best practices
  • Optimize designs for low cost, high quality, high reliability, and high-volume assembly
  • Work with customers and/or vendors regarding technical issues
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external resources during design, prototyping, and transfer to manufacturing activities
  • Establish engineering design documentation
  • Prepare technical records and files, including engineering changes
  • Focus design efforts on improved performance and reduced complexity
  • Create artifacts supporting design, redesign, prototype, and transfer to manufacturing activities
  • Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical design engineer on product development teams
  • 1+ years of experience developing within a regulated environment (Medical, Aerospace, Military)
  • Experience designing schematics in Altium or other schematic capture system
  • Familiarity with regulations governing electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility and the activities necessary to achieve IEC60601 certification
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation tools such as PSpice
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States
  • Must be able to effectively speak, read, write, and understand English
