About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute co-manufacturing strategies aligned with manufacturing, supply chain, financial, and business objectives
- Evaluate, qualify, and select co-manufacturing partners based on operational capabilities, capacity, quality, food safety, financial stability, service performance, and geographic fit
- Lead network planning to ensure manufacturing capacity, flexibility, and scalability
- Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, R&D, Quality, and Finance on product launches, supply continuity, and strategic priorities
- Manage supplier scorecards and drive accountability and continuous improvement
- Support contract negotiations and supplier business reviews with operational, performance, and financial insights
- Own strategic and day-to-day relationships with co-manufacturing partners
- Lead supplier business reviews, performance assessments, audits, compliance reviews, improvement plans, root cause analyses, and corrective actions
- Drive productivity, cost savings, process optimization, and supplier performance improvements
- Support quality assurance processes, audits, inspections, product quality, and food safety
- Drive lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, operational excellence, waste reduction, and production efficiency initiatives
- Establish and analyze KPIs including yield, throughput, schedule adherence, service levels, quality, waste, and cost
- Lead cross-functional efforts to improve manufacturing reliability, supply continuity, inventory performance, and network flexibility
- Develop and manage annual co-manufacturing budgets and monthly forecasts
- Monitor budget and forecast variances and recommend corrective actions
- Support financial evaluations of supplier selection, contract negotiations, business cases, and capital investments
- Identify, assess, and mitigate co-manufacturing network risks
- Develop contingency plans, alternative sourcing strategies, and capacity solutions to ensure business continuity
- Monitor economic, commodity, labor, transportation, geopolitical, regulatory, and environmental factors affecting suppliers and supply chain performance
- Communicate risks, opportunities, and business impacts to leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, or related roles within the CPG industry
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with quality standards and best practices in food safety and quality assurance
- Proficiency in data analysis and project management
- Procurement or Vendor management
- Proficiency in second language preferred
- Negotiation skills preferred
- This position does not qualify for relocation expenses
