About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Take full commercial and operational ownership of assigned customer accounts
  • Establish and nurture relationships with customer stakeholders at multiple organisational levels
  • Own the overall health, strategy and strategic development of assigned accounts
  • Identify account risks, growth opportunities and alignment with customer business objectives
  • Act as the primary point of contact between customers and risr/ outside day-to-day support
  • Assess customer needs and provide appropriate risr/ solutions
  • Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities
  • Handle contracts, renewals and negotiations
  • Resolve customer concerns and escalations with team members
  • Maintain knowledge of evolving risr/ products
  • Adapt service and value delivery as customers change
  • Maintain accurate CRM records on account milestones, renewals, opportunities and interactions
  • Retain customers and renew contracts
  • Achieve customer satisfaction targets
  • Meet revenue targets from existing customers
  • Provide transparent and accurate account health reports
  • Advocate for customer needs within risr/ and contribute to product development
  • Collaborate with sales/marketing, delivery and development teams
  • Travel for some in-person customer meetings
  • Work occasional evenings, early mornings or weekends due to teams across time zones

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 5 years of experience as an account and relationship manager in a customer-facing role, ideally in a SaaS/B2B role
  • Experience handling contractual negotiations, reconciliations and revisions is preferable
  • Digital Transformation exposure utilising SaaS solutions and services
  • Technical-minded and solution-oriented
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build a detailed understanding of assigned clients and their evolving business needs
  • Proven understanding of commercial decision-making
  • Knowledge of the UK's education and business landscape, trends, challenges, opportunities, buying styles, behaviours, practices and approaches is preferable
  • Ability to demonstrate a deep understanding of customer strategies/objectives
  • Ability to take a collaborative approach to relationship building and sales-related tasks
  • Contract negotiation, execution and renewal skills
  • Aptitude to quickly understand risr/ products and services and translate customer challenges into value-based solutions
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think on one's feet
  • Ability to devise commercial, technical and creative solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and set expectations clearly, concisely and consistently
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, set goals and allocate time wisely
  • Self-starting and proactive approach when handling multiple customers
  • Ability to collaborate with sales/marketing, delivery and development teams
