About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage Specialty Key Accounts in the Food and Beverage Market Segment
  • Report to and collaborate with the National Sales Manager
  • Proactively manage business with selected key accounts and increase sales to existing and new accounts
  • Develop business opportunities with existing and especially new key accounts
  • Operate in a global network to support local Key Account Managers and establish contacts with key accounts in partnership with the Business Segment Manager
  • Coordinate key account business globally between customers and FUCHS stakeholders, including Product Management, R&D, Administration, Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, Logistics, and Marketing
  • Set prices and negotiate terms and conditions with the Business Segment Manager
  • Visit customers, follow up on current projects, and search for new opportunities
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of key accounts’ worldwide activities, product portfolios, and applications
  • Represent customer interests toward FUCHS and vice versa
  • Develop alternative Service Concepts and Value Propositions for assigned Key Accounts
  • Apply knowledge of FUCHS Specialty products and applications, especially in Food and Beverage
  • Cooperate with Product Management to ensure customers understand products and technical requirements
  • Work closely with Sales Teams to implement respective sales goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in engineering, chemical engineering, or another related field
  • Experience in Lubricant Sales to Beverage Market strongly preferred
  • Technical knowledge of Beverage equipment applications
  • Experience with lubricants/specialty chemicals is a plus
  • Proven experience initiating, managing, and closing sales processes with OEM & Tier customers
  • Independent, highly motivated, hard worker with affinity to sales and hunter mentality
  • Track record of securing new accounts and relating with new customers
  • Supplementary knowledge in finance, marketing, and management
  • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a similar sales and key account management position
  • Outstanding consultative selling abilities and interpersonal skills
  • Decision maker with negotiation skills, willing to work under pressure
  • Strategic vision and planning
  • Proactivity and goal-orientation
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team spirit and ability to work in international teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM; Salesforce desired
  • Approximately 70% travel, primarily within the U.S.
