About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Handle all Synapse-related database requests for the TAC Project team
Work closely with other Principal TAC engineers for depth and continuity
Develop and improve cross-training methodology from the database perspective
Identify efficient ways for the TAC team to handle database-related requests, customer custom scripts, database extracts, and common database work such as MRN conversions
Help develop TAC processes to improve the internal and external support experience
Occasionally participate in customer site visits
Maintain expert working knowledge of database technologies, current medical imaging products, and related technologies through continuous education
Remain compliant with regulatory and quality requirements
Travel on short notice and/or overnight as required to work on customer systems
Work outside normal business hours, overtime, and holidays as required by business needs
Comply with U.S. FDA medical device regulatory requirements, ISO 13485 requirements, and applicable laws, regulations, and standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree
Oracle Certification (OCA or Higher)
Minimum of 10 years of industry related professional experience
Advanced DBA level knowledge of all current Synapse Applications
Advanced knowledge of clinical data transfer protocols and interfaces (HL7 and DICOM)
Advanced working knowledge of current Synapse Applications
Advanced knowledge of Synapse workflows and their implementations
Advanced knowledge in Synapse application front end
Advanced knowledge of medical informatics architecture (VMware and Storage Solutions)
Ability to achieve results and meet goals in a fast-paced, team environment
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, excellent phone manner
Ability to make independent decisions based on interpretation of technology data and product knowledge
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to sit up 75-100% of applicable work time
Ability to use hands and fingers to feel and manipulate items, including keyboards, up to 100% of applicable work time
Ability to stand, talk, and hear for 75% of applicable work time
Willingness and ability to travel occasionally, up to 10%
Preferred: Master’s Degree
Preferred: SQL Certifications
Preferred: Industry-specific certifications in relevant technical background (Microsoft, VMware, Cisco certifications)
