About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own day-to-day operations for Fulfillment IQ’s Linux servers and laptops and hardware used by the India-based team
- Set up, image, configure, enroll, collect, wipe, and reissue Windows 11 laptops and Mac devices
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and coordinate repairs and warranty claims with OEMs and local vendors
- Maintain the asset register for every device and support Bengaluru office equipment, network devices, Wi-Fi, printers, and meeting room technology
- Perform routine Linux administration including user accounts, permissions, service restarts, disk space, and log checks
- Apply OS updates and patches according to Corporate Technology runbooks
- Monitor server health alerts, escalate issues with clear notes, run backup checks, and report failures
- Respond to and resolve support tickets for hardware, software, accounts, and access
- Support Microsoft 365 account setup, password resets, and MFA enrollment
- Escalate unresolved issues to Corporate Technology or DevOps
- Provide practical guidance on safe device use
- Confirm endpoint protection, disk encryption, and required updates are active
- Follow access, device, and data handling policies and report suspected security incidents
- Support license and subscription tracking by assigning and reclaiming seats
- Keep tickets, asset records, and runbooks current
- Document recurring issues and fixes
- Write simple scripts to automate repetitive tasks, subject to senior review
- Collaborate with the Head of Corporate Technology and colleagues mainly based in Canada
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 to 5 years of system administration experience, including hands-on hardware and end-user support
- Strong Linux administration from the command line, using Ubuntu or RHEL family systems
- Knowledge of users and permissions, file systems, services, packages, and logs
- Experience setting up and troubleshooting Apache or Nginx web servers on Linux
- Bash scripting for routine tasks
- Comfort working across Windows 11 and macOS alongside Linux; strong Linux plus one of the other two is acceptable
- Experience administering a directory and identity platform, such as Microsoft 365 and Entra ID or an on-premise Windows Active Directory domain
- Hardware troubleshooting and component replacement
- Networking fundamentals including IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and VPN
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in India
- Any certification listed on the resume must be active
- Active Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification is nice to have
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification is a strong advantage
- Active Linux certification such as CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, or LFCS is nice to have
- Microsoft Intune administration is nice to have
- Exposure to Docker, Azure or AWS cloud virtual machines, or CI/CD runners is nice to have
- PowerShell or Python scripting is nice to have
- Candidates without AZ-104 and AZ-305 will be expected to complete both after joining
