About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in managing the company's general accounting operations
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and supporting documentation
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP, IFRS, company policies, financial regulations, and audit requirements
  • Support consolidation of financial statements across multiple business units or entities
  • Analyze financial results and explain variances
  • Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits
  • Coordinate audit requests and respond to auditor inquiries
  • Support tax compliance activities and statutory reporting
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
  • Review work completed by accountants and senior accountants
  • Assist with performance management, coaching, and employee development
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger activities
  • Ensure timely bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monitor cash flow reporting and assist with treasury-related activities
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Identify opportunities to automate accounting processes
  • Improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Develop and document accounting procedures
  • Assist with ERP implementations and financial system enhancements
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, and executive leadership
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic business decisions
  • Participate in special projects and company initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA required
  • 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • 2–4+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS where applicable
  • Experience with financial statement preparation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday Financials, or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Public accounting experience is preferred
  • Experience supporting multinational or multi-entity organizations
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls
  • Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is preferred
