About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee IT support across a Mac-majority environment
Provision and troubleshoot hardware, software, and account access
Administer Google Workspace and support the Microsoft 365 tenant
Manage onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning/deprovisioning, and license management
Triage, document, and resolve support requests
Design and maintain ticketing and workflow processes
Build and maintain runbooks, SOPs, asset inventory, and onboarding/offboarding checklists
Perform endpoint management, MFA enforcement, access reviews, and basic security hygiene
Identify recurring issues and propose process or tooling improvements
Coordinate with SaaS vendors on account and licensing issues
Manage hardware procurement, imaging, shipping, returns, and lifecycle tracking
Maintain and enforce MDM policies using Jamf, Kandji, or similar tools
Support SSO configuration and troubleshooting for SaaS applications
Monitor and respond to basic security alerts, escalating as needed
Conduct access reviews and license audits across the application portfolio
Assist with compliance documentation and evidence gathering for SOC 2 or similar frameworks
Track and report support metrics to inform process improvements
Coordinate device and software patching/update cycles to maintain a security baseline

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of hands-on IT support experience, including experience at a small or scaling company building processes
Strong, demonstrable experience supporting macOS in a business/enterprise environment
Hands-on administration experience with Google Workspace, including user management, groups, and security settings
Experience managing full user lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning/deprovisioning, and license management
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience troubleshooting mixed hardware/software environments, laptops, SaaS applications, and identity/access issues
Experience creating or improving SOPs, runbooks, or knowledge base articles
Experience administering Microsoft 365 alongside Google Workspace
Exposure to endpoint management/MDM tools such as Jamf, Kandji, or Intune
Familiarity with MFA/SSO implementation and enforcement, including Okta, Google SSO, or Duo
Experience supporting SaaS application governance, vendor management, license audits, and access reviews across 50+ applications
Exposure to compliance or security frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001
Experience supporting users through parallel/legacy and current product platforms or a system migration
Prior experience at a PE-owned or newly scaling company where IT/security functions were being built
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Google Workspace Administrator, or Microsoft 365 Certified are nice to have, not a filter
Ability to meet stated physical demands, including sitting at a desk, keyboard and telephone use, lifting/moving up to 10 pounds, reaching, walking, speaking/listening, close and color vision, and focus adjustment
