About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary security contact for business unit leaders, providing collaboration and technical security advisory
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate operational, cybersecurity, IT, strategic, and compliance risks
  • Develop and oversee implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls
  • Monitor compliance with relevant security laws, industry standards, and corporate policies
  • Interact with cybersecurity teams to respond to breaches and security incidents and minimize business impact
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate cybersecurity into technology initiatives
  • Report regularly to senior management on the organization’s risk profile and risk management activities
  • Manage security budgets and allocate resources effectively
  • Develop metrics demonstrating the value and success of the risk governance program
  • Support regulatory compliance, risk management, M&A support, disaster recovery planning, and security awareness initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 8-10 years cybersecurity/IT Risk Management/IT Audit experience (or information technology coupled with cybersecurity), with at least 5+ years in an operationally focused security practitioner role
  • Strategic thinking and ability to anticipate risks and challenges and develop proactive risk management strategies
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with business leadership and enterprise projects
  • Demonstrated understanding and comprehension of a wide range of cybersecurity solutions
  • Strong project management, multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and promote an enterprise-wide positive security culture
  • Preferred, but not required: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA
