About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Represent Futurpreneur and promote its financing and mentoring programs for young entrepreneurs and partners
  • Collaborate with and foster strong partnerships to generate new client engagement and loan portfolio growth across Vancouver regions
  • Convert entrepreneurial leads from inquiry through application stage
  • Identify and follow up on high-potential prospects through the CRM system
  • Attend and coordinate events engaging prospective and current entrepreneurs
  • Facilitate presentations and workshops promoting Futurpreneur programs and entrepreneurial skill development
  • Assist other programs and regions as required
  • Collaborate with Client Relationship Managers to transition applicants to the funding stage
  • Create lead-generation opportunities across the region with existing and new partners
  • Engage prospective mentors and manage mentor inquiries and applications
  • Communicate with Client Relationship Managers to fulfill mentor gaps
  • Recruit mentors and coordinate mentor-recruitment events
  • Maintain relationships with strategic and referral partners
  • Bring entrepreneurs to the loan-approval stage through partner engagement
  • Facilitate partner onboarding and train new and existing partners on Futurpreneur processes
  • Ensure partners have the tools and information to represent Futurpreneur effectively
  • Manage and grow referral-partner relationships
  • Participate in partner ecosystem activities to engage community partners and recruit entrepreneurs
  • Coordinate partner-engagement events
  • Identify potential partners through research, events, networks, and referrals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle; 40% of the role includes local and provincial travel
  • Relevant education focused on business administration, economic development, entrepreneurship, or equivalent hands-on career experience
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, start-up business development, or economic development
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
  • Experience working with entrepreneurs or business startups, business plans, and cashflows is a strong asset
  • Ability to tailor and deliver public program presentations and workshops
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Customer Relationship Management system experience is required (MS-365)
  • Strong client focus and ability to work with volunteers
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of trends within the entrepreneurial, startup, and small business industry
  • General administration experience, including budget management and report writing
  • Clear and confident communication skills for engaging diverse audiences
  • Collaborative and adaptable mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic hybrid work environment
