About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join the dedicated Payments sub-team as a critical bridge between technology infrastructure and accounting and finance stakeholders
Support tax calculations, VAT processing, invoicing systems, and audit preparedness for the business
Build, optimize, and maintain robust back-end systems for precise, compliant financial data and seamless transactional workflows
Write and ship high-quality, scalable code
Identify and address areas for improvement across the codebase
Work closely with product managers and stakeholders, applying product thinking to technical decisions
Contribute through code reviews, refactoring, testing, and pair programming
Own the design and execution of initiatives
Drive prioritized bug fixes and platform improvements
Attend or present at weekly knowledge-sharing sessions
Continuously develop technical and soft skills through best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Good level of English (spoken and written)
5+ years in Backend development
Proficiency in either PHP or Node.js and a willingness to learn the other
Strong expertise in high-load architecture, Distributed Systems, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and CQRS
Solid background in software engineering principles and best practices (SOLID, TDD, CI/CD, Agile)
Comfortable using Claude as an LLM partner for thinking, architectural brainstorming, and code generation
Skilled in debugging, unit testing, and optimizing application performance
Product-minded approach, prioritizing work based on business impact over technical preference
Strong sense of ownership
Practical experience using LLMs and coding assistants to improve software development workflows, including implementation, testing, debugging, documentation, and code quality
Must submit a resume in English
