About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the receipt, validation and processing of premium and claims bordereaux from coverholders, MGAs and TPAs
  • Track receipt of monthly premium and claims bordereaux against reporting schedules and chase late or incomplete submissions
  • Validate bordereaux data against binding authority contract terms, including limits, territories, classes of business and binder periods
  • Check submissions against Lloyd's Coverholder Reporting Standards and internal data requirements
  • Raise data quality issues with coverholders
  • Load and process validated bordereaux into policy administration and bordereaux management systems
  • Reconcile premium bordereaux to cash received and written premium, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Flag potential contract breaches or unusual trends to delegated authority, underwriting and compliance teams
  • Produce internal reporting on bordereaux timeliness, data quality and outstanding issues
  • Support coverholder audits, renewals and wider delegated authority oversight activity as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1–3 years' experience within insurance, ideally in the Lloyd's or London Market (e.g. managing agent, syndicate, MGA, broker or TPA)
  • Exposure to bordereaux, delegated authority or binding authority processing is strongly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, reconciliation logic) and confidence working with large data sets
  • Comfortable learning policy administration and bordereaux management systems quickly
  • Methodical, detail-oriented and self-sufficient, able to deliver accurate work to fixed monthly and quarterly deadlines
  • Clear, professional communicator, able to manage queries with coverholders, brokers and underwriters
  • Degree educated or equivalent experience
