About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assess clients’ regulatory reporting quality for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Design and execute data quality testing and reconciliation routines
  • Quantify the scale and materiality of identified issues
  • Perform root-cause analysis through upstream data and source systems
  • Support remediation from audit findings through corrected submissions
  • Produce evidenced documentation of findings and recommendations
  • Apply data quality and assurance tooling to automate testing and improve repeatability
  • Present findings and practical resolutions to senior client stakeholders
  • Advise clients on strengthening ongoing reporting controls
  • Work across the reporting regimes in scope for each client

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Background in regulatory reporting assurance or data quality, gained with a specialist provider or within a professional services regulatory reporting assurance practice
  • Hands-on experience testing regulatory reporting data for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Experience of audit-driven remediation from internal or external findings through to corrected submissions
  • Strong data analysis capability, including SQL
  • Ability to interrogate large reporting populations and evidence conclusions rigorously
  • Breadth across EMIR, MiFID II / MiFIR, SFTR, CFTC, or SEC regulatory reporting regimes
  • Ability to move between regulatory reporting regimes rather than depth in one alone
  • Strong root-cause analysis skills
  • Clear written communication and documentation skills suitable for auditor and regulator review
  • Confident client-facing manner and credibility with senior stakeholders
  • Consulting or client-delivery experience is a strong advantage
