About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the U.S. Nemolizumab team as an internal medical and scientific expert
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical investigators, and professional organizations
  • Provide proactive and reactive scientific information on Nemolizumab in assigned areas
  • Identify key opinion leaders and cultivate expert and influencer networks
  • Prepare and execute KOL engagement plans and maintain US KOL and institution plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals on algorithms and guidelines
  • Execute qualitative and quantitative metrics required by the US medical affairs strategy
  • Collect and communicate medical insights and feedback to support medical affairs strategies
  • Conduct disease awareness activities and provide education on atopic dermatitis and prurigo nodularis
  • Provide drug, mechanism-of-action, and emerging clinical information to healthcare providers
  • Support patient groups, educational foundations, professional organizations, and disease-state advocacy groups
  • Identify research gaps and facilitate data-generation opportunities, including posthoc analyses, IITs, and Medical Affairs-sponsored studies
  • Attend scientific congresses, engage stakeholders, prepare congress summaries, and present competitor analyses and key perspectives internally
  • Maintain current knowledge through relevant scientific literature
  • Develop and conduct external and internal trainings and continuing education
  • Ensure activities comply with legal and compliance guidelines
  • Support advisory-board planning and execution and review speaker presentations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pharm.D., Ph.D., MD required
  • Doctorate degree and 1–2 years of MSL/Medical Affairs experience preferred
  • Three (3) plus years of clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research preferred
  • Experience in a medically related field can include post-doctoral training, residencies, and/or fellowships
  • Dermatology or Immunology background preferred
  • Biologic and/or launch experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills required
  • Ability to interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms
  • Solid understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other US regulatory principles
  • Current working knowledge of US legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations and guidelines
  • Ability to function in a team-oriented matrix environment
  • Strong scientific and/or clinical acumen
  • Strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effectively with a sense of urgency in an evolving environment
  • Superior soft skills and demonstrated credibility with medical professionals
  • Ability to complete expense reports in a compliant and timely manner
  • Ability to manage travel in an organized and effective manner
  • Willingness to travel approximately 70–80%
