About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the first line of support for employees and managers with HR-related questions or concerns
- Help employees and managers understand and use HR tools, processes, and policies
- Process payroll accurately and on time and resolve discrepancies
- Lead regional talent acquisition and recruitment
- Build talent pipelines and succession plans
- Conduct employee onboarding and offboarding
- Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances
- Maintain accurate, current, and complete employee records
- Analyze HR data trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
- Assist with compensation and recognition programs, including bonuses and merit increases
- Support positive employee relations through fair and consistent policy administration
- Partner with the HR team to build a culture of excellence and employee engagement
- Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Handle other HR duties and special projects as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources
- Excellent communication skills
- Integrity, professionalism, and discretion with confidential information
- Strong time management and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, ordinances, and policies
- Ability to quickly build relationships and trust, and collaborate across teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with HRIS, talent management systems, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel between the Nashville and Knoxville offices as needed
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods and work at a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
