Key responsibilities & impact

Own the day-to-day payments function, ensuring member payments are accurate, timely, and well controlled
Stand up and scale payment operations for new products
Use data analysis, process mapping, automation, and communication to improve payment operations
Partner with Product and Engineering to launch and scale payment capabilities
Work with operations specialists, account executives, and external partners to align workflows and solution design
Develop and maintain reporting systems and identify trends across payment KPIs such as accuracy and timeliness
Analyze and solve complex payment issues raised by clients, members, and internal stakeholders
Serve as the cross-functional payments point of contact across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Account Management
Lead and develop a small team while remaining hands-on in daily operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of relevant experience in a strategic problem-solving role
2+ years of experience building within operational teams
Experience in analytics, business or financial operations, fast-growing startup operations, or similar
Ability to break down complex processes, recommend solutions, and implement them with cross-functional stakeholders
Experience coaching or leading others, formally or informally
Proficiency in quantitative analysis, generating meaningful insights, and data modeling
Comfort working with financial data and reconciliations
Experience with SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and no-code/low-code AI automation tools
High ownership mentality and detail orientation
Sound judgment and rigor on high-stakes, sensitive operational work
Track record of delivering operational initiatives on tight deadlines
Methodical problem-solving and continuous improvement
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary for company success
