About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate machinery for excavating, backfilling, trenching, ditching, clearing, looming, fine grading, and final cleanup
- Backfill the ditch properly after the pipe is laid
- Perform backfill safely as part of a crew
- Perform operator-level maintenance on the machine
- Move trench boxes from the ditch
- Perform laborer functions as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous construction experience
- 2-5 years in construction experience
- Utility work experience preferred
- Firm knowledge of equipment operations and maintenance
- Must be willing to work overtime and travel
- May be required to complete a post-offer physical
- May be required to complete a site-specific background check
- Background screening and drug-free workplace requirements
