About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with hiring managers to understand their specific needs and requirements
- Proactively source and identify top talent through online job boards, industry organizations, and professional networks
- Conduct phone screenings and interviews to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from initial contact to offer
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system
- Build and maintain relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and job market conditions for water & wastewater treatment positions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 0–2 years of experience in recruitment, human resources, or general administrative support
- Eagerness or baseline experience in sourcing and identifying qualified candidates using job boards, LinkedIn, and databases
- Basic knowledge of recruitment life cycle processes, sourcing techniques, and industry best practices
- Strong verbal and written communication, active listening, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to stay organized, work independently with guidance, and handle multiple coordination tasks simultaneously
- Familiarity or quick adaptability with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HR software, and modern collaboration tools
- Openness to occasional travel for career fairs, university recruiting, or company events
- Background screening and drug-free workplace requirements
- May be required to complete a post-offer physical and a site-specific background check
